Finances are the most significant obstacles those interested in church planting have to deal with. It would only make sense that finances may be an obstacle for those interested in the Renew Residency Program. There are various tracks that a resident may chose to take to make participation possible (which are outlined below). No matter which track you chose to pursue there are some bottom line financial requirements that each planter must meet.

BOTTOM LINE REQUIREMENTS

Each resident is expected to provide $5,000 to cover the cost of assessment, NEO360 Launch Training and other resources that will be used during the course of the residency program. Residents can provide this $5,000 on their own or they can raise these funds through outside support.  Half of the $2,500 must be raised/provided before the resident can begin the program.

POSSIBLE FINANCIAL PATHS FOR RESIDENTS

FULL-TIME SUPPORT

This is the preferred path for those engaging in our residency program because it provides the resident with the greatest availability for one of the most important years of their life. The resident would be responsible for raising 100% of their salary through friends, family and organizations that are interested in supporting them on their journey. Donations will be given to Renew Communities so they will be tax deductable and the resident will be paid as an employee of our church. The resident will be expected to have 100% of their funds pledged or in hand before they are able to begin the Residency Program.  Fundraising coaching will be available to those who opt for that path.

Part-Time Support

The resident who take this pathway will be able to determine how much money they will raise from outside sources in conjunction with the salary they have from their marketplace job. The resident will be expected to have 100% of their funds pledged or in hand before they are able to begin the Residency Program.

Full-Time Marketplace Work

Fundraising is a necessary aspect of church planting and will be required of residents at some point in their journey it may not be possible at the beginning of the Residency Program. Residents who work full-time market place jobs will still be expected to complete all necessary residency requirements and will have to take the initiative to blend their full-time work with the residency program. This track still requires the $5,000 for training and assessment that each resident is responsible to provide.
